  32. Most modern 28.8 voice modems have poor voice quality. They tend to
  33. sacrifice voice quality for storage space (they use 4 bit, low rate
  34. sampling, etc). For good Voice quality we (and many happy users and
  35. developers) would recommend the NSC TYIN2000 and TYIN4000 DSP modems
  36. (a bit old but great Voice and FAX, albeit 14.4kbps max DATA). They
  37. deliver 8KHz, 8bit voice announcements, compared with 4800Hz, 4 bit
  38. popular today...
